Straight from a Chinese website, sina.com has seen more than 1.19 million people rally together backing Chinese forces in Tibet, the majority of these people come from China itself. Being a fan of CCTV 9 (Chinese Communist Television), the english channel, I find this support ridiculous.

In fact all of China’s television comes from the government, they have strict laws on media broadcasts and no journalist is exempt. In what would seem a chapter of the novel 1984 China lives this reality.

Still, 1.19 million people doesn’t match the 1.5 million global citizens which are part of the “free world” for which the Chinese citizens don’t know. As a matter of fact, my blog keeps getting spidered by the main Chinese search engine baidu.com however i never seem to be included in their results.

Add to this yahoo.cn which wont return results on my blog and google.cn which filters out results on my blog that mention China and you have the major search engines cooperating with the Chinese Communist Party forgoing freedom for the citizens of China.

This comes from a country which will hold the Olympic games later this year, the games are meant to be an icon of humanity and freedom. If you ask me this is just a repeat of the games in 1936 when Hitler watched over the Olympics in Munich.
