Ok I saw this headline on my RSS feed and I just had to post something about it. If things are bad enough a senior climate scientist has come out and said climate change is going to affect beer!
Apparently the warming of the earth is going to change the barley that is produced giving it a different taste. At first this may not be bad, adding a different taste to the beer might make a good brew. But then it gets worse, some areas of crop growth will become arid, meaning less barley, less beer and most costly beer.
Add on to this the cost of oil and transportation costs and it’s not looking good for beer drinkers. Perhaps it’s time for all the beer drinkers to unite and work to cool the planet. :-p
